The Sower Bag Ministry was introduced at a New South River Baptist Association Messenger Meeting on July 18, 2017 by Dr. Randy White, Executive Director. It is a plastic bag filled with items that let a person in need know that we care for both their physical needs, but more importantly their spiritual need. The churches of the association collect the items that go into the “Sower Bags” and them bring them to the NSRBA Resource Center where a bottled water and a “Living Water Booklet” is enclosed with items collected by the churches (washcloth, bandana, pair of socks, granola bar, hand sanitizer and a $5 bill). Any member of any of the association churches are encouraged to stop by the Resource Center to pick up a handful of “Sower Bags” to keep with them (a car is a great place) and use them as a one-on-one ministry to sow a seed to one in need.
